I wonder, actually, who would buy Olympic barbells for home use? I mean, if I prepare professionally for competitions, then I go to the gym. At best, I can imagine using the standard barbells at home and then only with lower weights to maintain muscle mass. (Apart from the fact that you also need the space – just think of the bar!)

But I am not sure what combo of weight plates I should buy. Assuming that I buy 100-130kg of total weight, what would be a good combination of weights to progress with? How many 20kg’s, 15kg, 10kg’s etc.
